The current lowest price I see for the speakers now is $80 just FYI. Sweet deal, thinking I might snag one to get into vinyl.

The newer version Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB is regularly at $249 often drops to $229.

This newer LP120XUSB version has a less powerful motor (slower start rotation), weighs less (17 pounds vs 23 pounds), and has a $50 lower suggested retail compared to the LP120-USB in this sale. Other differences include a pop up stylus light on the old model, vs plug in removable on the new, tracking height adjustment on the old, not on the new, and reverse playback option on the old, not on the new.

So not a direct replacement. If you are just playing records these differences may make no difference (except for the tracking height adjust). But for DJ use they matter. AT also has a new 140x version coming out that has higher torque and the same weight as this earlier LP-120 and the additional features of the old model for $400.

$275 from Amazon for AT-LP120XUSB and CR3 speakers and upgraded platter and vinyl cleaning kit

not bad at all but personally I think this turntable is ugly. I went with the Fluance RT81 on Prime Day for $209 instead. I will buy better speakers eventually but for now using my computer speakers.

I suggest reading the reviews (complaints) regarding the switch failure on the Mackie speakers. I contacted them regarding it and was assured the issue was resolved in 2016. When I expressed that customers are still posting about it in 2019, they didn't respond.

Aesthetically that Fluance is certainly much cleaner. The LP120's design pays homage to the absolutely legendary Technics SL 1200 line: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technics_SL-1200

Functionally they're geared toward totally different markets. Belt drive vs. direct drive.

Not in for one, but seems like a good deal for those wanting a decent entry level table. Being that it comes with a $100 cart and cute little powered speakers that could be gifted or something.

How does this compare to the Teac Deal (https://slickdeals.net/f/13210381-teac-tn-350-mb-belt-driven-turntable-with-s-shaped-tone-arm-169-free-shipping?src=frontpage) that keeps popping up?

Just looking at the pictures, I like the fact that this one has the speed strobe. This one is direct drive vs belt driven on the Teac. This one is 3 speed vs the Teac's 2.

I don't really care about the speakers so much. Just comparing turntables. It looks like this one has more features, but will it produce a better sound?

I'm just going to drop in my 2 cents on those Mackie CR3s. I had my first pair for about 2 years and then one day the amp chip just straight up died for no reason at all. I pulled the sucker apart to take a look as whether a capacitor, resistor, or diode blew, but there was no evidence of any electrical failure. To add to that the CR3s don't have their circuit diagram available on Mackie's site unlike most of their other gear.

After a bunch of searching, the only thing I could find on the problem is that the particular amp chip that the CR3s use can actually have it's mute pin short out for no reason at all, which permanently mutes the active speaker element unless you clip the pin from the chip.

I called up Mackie before going forward with that solution and they were kind enough to replace my active speaker, despite it being a full year out of warranty. Good on them.
