Target no longer gives 5% off if using gift cards. It is only 5% off for the amount paid with redcard.

Any slickdeal on a time machine? Wink

Now that deal has started, here is an example of a good deal if you need TP. I've purchased this the last two times this deal has come around, and I feel it is just as good as Charmin Ultra Strong, just better price.

Add 3 of the 18 count to cart, choose subscription option for additional 5% off, then in cart choose store pickup on first order to get $15 gift card to apply. Don't forget to cancel subscription.

It is usually very hard for me to come up xx amount of eligible items in order to get a gift card at Target. In addition, most of the time at least two out of 10 products ring up at a different price at the register; sometimes lower, sometimes higher. I remember asking the cashier to adjust the price to a higher price to make up the spending threshold, but it requires manager approval. So it's simply a pain in the neck!!
Furthermore, stupid Target system adds the gift card as if you are purchasing it, then deducts it from the total amount due. Yet, it inflicts the taxes being paid. Extremely confusing and frustrating.
One may suggest completing the transaction online and picking up the order. The problem with this is again conflicting prices between online and in-store.
Decided not to spend an hour on these promotions unless someone here lays out an excellent deal that would be hard to miss!
Thanks for the heads up anyway.
Probably going to do 2x big tide and a big downy. Laundry covered for 6 months

Honest question: Is it really cheaper to buy these things in Target instead of say costco? I don't have a red card

Is this one time use per account or can I make multiple $50+ orders to get the gift cards?

When they have gc promos like this, it is sometimes cheaper but it depends on the items being bought.
Also, why no redcard, they have a debit redcard and the redcard gets you 5% off of everything at target
