Great idea, my kids played with these at the store and they don't fall apart like other legos do. They are meant to be played with.

When combining the two sets, can it be done after each one is assembled individually? Or should it be combined right away? Bought the WHACK from a previous deal but have not given it to my kid yet.

TIA

We have both. They have to be built combined from scratch. You would have to take them apart if they are already built individually. The instructions for combining them are available online (not included) and were very easy to follow. I highly recommend buying both if you're considering buying one or the other. It's totally worth being able to combine them for the additional play value.

Thank you very much. Just ordered WHACK to go along with BASH (I feel really childish typing that for some reason laugh out loud)

Your bear will eat these legos. Don't give him the satisfaction.

When combined, do you have lots of leftover pieces or it used all the pieces? Thanks

I wonder if there's room in this to attach a motor to one of the wheels and slap an Arduino in there? It would be a cheap Lego remote-controllable car!
