$200 off the 2019 model. Lowest I've seen for this one with True Tone and the "even more upgraded" keyboard. All colors available at this price.

$1099 for the 256GB model as well:

Is this the laptop with the keyboard issues? Or is this the new design?

Most recent release. It's basically the apple offer, but you are getting an additional $100 off vs a pair of Studio Beats.

Lol...."even more upgraded" keyboard.

Huge Apple laptop fan, but the butterfly keyboard has to be one of worst things to come out of Johny's lab.
Even more baffling is instead getting rid of the poor design ultra-sensitive to debris, they have resorted to band-aid fixes for 5 years.

Good thing they will move back to scissor type keyboards next year. I will happily bide my time with my 11" MBA until then.

The butterfly keyboard was a major revision. To then do another, almost immediate, revision to the keyboard is not simple or cheap (Even for a company with Apple's resources). Similar to why we don't see automakers turn on a dime when they do a major update to a model. You are setting the many millions you spent on R&D and marketing on fire to hopefully ship a revised model with no issues ASAP. It's likely cheaper and easier to enact their keyboard support policy.

Maybe not. https://www.imore.com/new-2019-ma...2018-model Depends on if potential keyboard improvements and true tone display are worth the difference. Always an individual preference balancing act.

Cores don't matter as much as optimization. A lot of the programs are very well optimized in MacOS.

For day to day use, I don't imagine you can tell any difference at all between dual, quad, octa-core, etc.

Yes. You can either take a $100 discount straight up from MC for $900, or you can pay $1000 minus whatever you sell the Beats headphones for at Apple. Probably worth the effort to sell, but some don't want to hassle with that.

No unless you need perfect color representation (like photo editing). Otherwise not an upgrade at all.
