You win some, you lose some. Probably not worth bickering about.

Hot diggity. The only knock against this as compared to the spec equivalent Samsung 49" CRG90 is that this one is capped at 60Hz.... the Samsung supports Freesync.

Thought driving games at 5180x1440 is near 4k, and getting close to 120Hz is super expensive.

Solid deal. Dell recently had this in their outlet as refurbished for $850ish. But still a way better price than retail.

I originally had an "open box" model from MicroCenter for $1150. I've had it for a month now and no complaints!

Anyone know if (or where to find out) if this can be driven by a 20129 MacBook Pro 15" ?

I need a new monitor for my desktop when it's docked and this seems like it would suitably over the top.

For those wondering, I got this for a 2018 MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro Vega 20 and it runs perfect using the included usb-c cable

Thanks @patrickdenney - this page also suggests it works well with recent MBPs.

I bought one of these in the recent refurb deal. It is properly ludicrous. I wish my desk was just a little deeper, as the best viewing angle is slightly further back. I'm planning to replace the desk when I move, though. The monitor is great.

Software development, or really, any other computer-heavy productive activity. The kind of people who really still need desktop PCs will almost all appreciate this monitor. Plus, awesome full field-of-view FPS or racing games. This isn't the best screen for gaming, but it's not bad unless you're a pro-level competitive shooter.

What about the 38"? Been keeping my eye on that one. Seems like better for productivity with slightly more vertical

I agree, that's why I got Philips 499P9H, goes up to 70hz and does freesync but not that I game on this anyways
