Pretty well specced laptop if you're fortunate enough to live near a Microcenter.

HP OMEN 15-dc1054nr 15.6" Gaming Laptop Computer - Black
Intel Core i7-9750H Processor 2.6GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR5
16GB DDR4-2666 RAM (2x8gb)
1TB HDD+256GB SSD
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Multi-format Digital Media Card Reader
10/100/1000 Network
2x2 WiFi 6+Bluetooth 5.0 Combo
15.6" Full HD IPS Anti-Glare Micro-Edge WLED-backlit Display
70WH 4 cell battery
200W power supply

Doesn't say it on Microcenter's website but HP says it has Thunderbolt 3
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/laptops/...s/28520740

Specs look pretty good for $999 but it doesn't mention having a high refresh rate panel. So only 60Hz.

It's been this price for like a month. I got one and really like it. It's a good deal but not hot

Funny I haven't seen any postings about this on here or anywhere else. Compared to a couple of other laptops available seems like a no brainer. Why didn't YOU post it a month ago? LOL

You just read the reason, they thought it wasn't that hot. Most consumers aren't willing to shell out 1k for a laptop PC.
Probably best for a professional on the move, especially in photo and video editing

Checked it out in store last weekend. Specs are fine but build quality is lacking. Hinge seemed a little suspect over the long haul.

The employee flat out told me it is the best bang for your buck /value.

Built quality on those Omen laptops is not really good, this should be considered normal price.

I'd been researching on a gaming laptop since I missed the primeday deal on the Acer Helios for $999. Overall, both have same specs except the Acer display has a 144hz refresh rate where the HP is only at 60hz.

Another HP Omen deal at Microcenter is the same spec with the RTX 2060 for $1199.

Prime Day had an RTX2060 Acer Triton at this price. The HP Omen is the strangest looking of all the gaming machines IMO. Overall this is fair, but not unusual for Microcenter.

I also share the same sentiment as the first comment on this post. In my case, I have posted in the past but never got some love. My posts wouldn't even show up on mobile. Not even searching for my post title. So, what is the point of sharing something that is not visible? Anyways, OP is getting thumbs up and rep from me.

I have the one from Microcenter with the 8750h/1060 and it is quite durable. I've taken it apart a couple of times and use it unplugged frequently. It's a good value. Main con is no Optimus but battery life is over 4 hours

The thin bezel ones Microcenter has are nothing like the best buy omens they are actually really solid, it's no Razer or MacBook but they are the best built budget gaming laptop I've seen, if you haven't felt the difference i would check it out before you rule it out

I should add I had the 1060 version and loved it except the screen was pretty dim, hopefully That's been updated, I'm going to go to the store and check it out in the next couple days, if it's brighter I'll buy one
