Personally, I enjoyed this movie. Here are the Rotten Tomatoes [rottentomatoes.com] reviews where it has an 81% with a consensus saying, "Part revisionist war drama, part zombie thriller, and part all-out genre gorefest, Overlord offers A-level fun for B-movie fans of multiple persuasions."

I don't know why but it doesn't seem like audiences really enjoyed it. On Rotten Tomatoes the audience rating is a 67% and IMDb [imdb.com] has it at a 6.7 rating.

Decent, saw it last night on Redbox. I would watch it if I had down time.

I wouldn't recommend anyone paying to see it. The movie takes way too long to really get going with the zombie antics and instead gives you about an hour of unfaithful WW2 D-Day recreation.
I don't know if the intention was ever for it to be a faithful recreation, but rather an alternate universe or something along those lines.

Thought this was going to be a wild fun time and bought this on 4K for some reason... it's worth the rental, but it's not fun as say Zombieland. It's a bit more serious than I was expected and not enough zombies.

I wouldn't base my faith in RT.

I couldn't wait for this to hit theaters. I was disappointed. It was ok. I was hoping it would b grittier/hardcore/serious. It honestly felt like a high-budget movie on sci fi channel. And without spoiling anything the end felt too much like when everything is too neatly tied up in a cute bow, and everybody (who survived) lived happily ever after. 🙈

Worth a $1 rental, but that is about it. Opening sequence is worth the price of admission. It fails after that but is worth the 2 hours you will sink into it.

Really couldn't get into this one. Felt low-budget despite being obviously high-budget. The Snake Plissken wannabe dude just really took me out of it. I feel like if you took all the clichés out of the dialogue you'd have about 15 seconds of speech left. I guess I went in with my expectations too high, but if you set yours to about B-movie level it could be fun.
