Maybe we got a lemon but this exact model gave us the worst time of our life as it did not clean over 80% of dishes at any time, if at all it did anything.

Had to get it replaced, GE obliged (after almost a year of nonstop service requests and their tech changing almost all possible parts and it never working properly and we calling them over 100 hours of phone calls) with a brand new piece of the exact saw model and even that didn't work.

House is brand new and we had got plumbing, electrical work, etc all checked up multiple times. Their own tech who must have visited us 15 odd times told off the record that these fancy ones don't work as well as the ones that make more noise and are not energy star rated. He suggested us to trash this, buy a cheaper GE if we are hell-bent on matching the look with the rest of our GE kitchen appliances or better still buy any Bosch or if we want dry feature then pick up ANY of the middle priced whirlpool or LG or kitchenaid, BUT NOT GE. Our entire kitchen is GE profile series and we are happy with other appliances more or less. So this post is not some anti-GE crusade out of an evil motive.

Having dealt with GE customer service extensively, I have to say it is PATHETIC. Once you call, they will set up an appointment after 10-12 business days and the tech who visits might diagnose and place an order for a part (just to try something because he can't find the fault) and then you wait for the part to be shipped to you, before the delivery of which they won't schedule next visit to change that part. I have boiled and burnt my blood over GE and I don't think I ever say such things about anything or anyone.

After having been bought by Haier, GE is not the same any more. it's just a legacy American brand now diluted to low standards.

Buyer beware.

For some reason the OP's links aren't working for me, so try copy/pasting them if they also aren't working for you.

If you can get a Bosch 800 for this price jump on it...But this is a solid deal.

This is really unsettling to read, especially with how positive the reviews are overall on Lowe's and Home Depot websites. I am reluctantly going to take my chances as I snagged one for $525 delivered and currently already have the "slate" colored stove.

I have this dishwasher. On Black Friday, it was $500.
It's very quiet and looks nice. The normal stainless steel does collect fingerprints and oils easily - I can't speak to the other colors.

The 3 rack is nice but shallow and non configurable. I wish they had put the 2 piece type in here since the bottle jets are difficult or impossible to use with the 3rd rack since there's not enough height so the bottle jets feel a bit gimmicky.
It does clean well for the most part but I've noticed that I have to load this dishwasher more loosely than I have for my previous (also GE) dishwasher.
The bottom rack has some curved tines that can be adjusted but the other half of the tines are straight.
Biggest thing of concern for me, the utensil rack has large holes at the bottom so you cannot put chopsticks in them unlike my previous dishwasher.

I feel like I should have gotten the Samsung appliance set instead since the matching Samsung range works better and they have more features for the price including fingerprint resistant coating, auto release door and fan for the same price.

yea, i take the reviews on HD/lowes's website with a grain of salt. a lot of their items are highly reviewed but if you say go to amazon or something, they're mediocre.

We had every possible problem OVER AND ABOVE it never cleaning. Honestly, the dishes came out worse than they went in. We spent 100$ on just buying every possible dishwashing tablet, gel, powder, rinse-aid, you name it. Water would not flow in. Water would not heat up. Each kind of sensor and computer panel was faulty or was changed at some point. The main top panel with buttons for operating it stopped working. It had to be replaced. The dishwasher leaked and then stopped working. Unable to recount other issues, there were few more.

We are on our 3rd piece (yes we are foolish to not replace with non-GE brand and persistent to get GE to change their faulty piece) and our cost of each load is 10x the usual because the only way it will clean 80-90% of dishes per load is with us almost done rinsing them, spacing them out big time, add dishwashing tablet, citric acid, TSP, rinse aid AND place 2 small bowls in each rack in the center filled with white vinegar. We go thru 10 pound bags of citric acid and TSP and gallon-sized white vinegar jugs so fast I'm gonna replace the dishwasher AT MY COST because of the insane operating cost.
