He asked a question about this particular computer, which is not unusual for people to ask questions about a product listed in a thread. Sometimes people are helpful, sometimes they aren't. This desktop has good components at a good price.

Because every prebuilt computer thread is full of computer experts telling you to build your own. They can't wait to tell you about it. Look, I understand that you can buy and put together better components for less if you are willing to shop (I built my last one). One thing they always gloss over is the operating system telling people just buy some bootleg Windows 10 code on eBay for $5. Some people just want to buy a computer and plug/play it.

Lol, I have no idea why people in the thread aren't at all interested in actually listening to what you're saying and giving you a straightforward answer. This is a great deal. Buy it, pull the GPU and sell it to bring you price down, and you're done.

you should easily be able to get your cost below $600 with tax, maybe closer to $500 or $550.

This is a good deal. I have one like this, except mine is only a Ryzen 5 and RX 570, but I have no problems playing any game I want to on it, with no lag or anything. Battlefield, Skyrim, etc.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I'm looking for a desktop that has a great processor and plenty of RAM and an SSD. I won't be doing any gaming or video editing. the most strain i would put on this would just be watching HD videos, having lots of chrome tabs open simultaneously and playing basic media. I understand that the dedicated graphics card is gonna be wasted on me and this may be overkill for my needs, but I haven't found anything that has this good of a processor and this much RAM and an SSD for under $630. I was looking at getting something at Costco to take advantage of their extra warranty and I am not a fan of HP as i've had both a desktop and laptop fail on me in the past, but I haven't found anything that compares to these specs at this price. Can anyone please advise? I am not in a hurry to get anything, i can wait until Black Friday if something is significantly better at a cheaper price, but I may have to bite at this price...

Nothing is significantly cheaper on black friday. If you are on a budget. Buy used prebuilt on ebay then just upgrade the ram. Vipoutlet recently had used hp omen for around $400 on ebay with gtx 1060 and i7 intel processor

For what you want you should build using a Ryzen 2400g or an i5 or something like that. That way you're not paying for a graphics card. You could spend much less. If you're not inclined to put any effort in then go ahead and buy anything because really, are you really trying to save money at that point?
I want to save money but i have no idea how to build at all. I would rather just find a great deal where i can just leave it as is.
