An SR6013 will power them just fine. I have a Denon 4300h powering a pair of 705s, pair of 703s, and a 706c and they sound amazing.

That is a stellar price for the 705 floor speaker. I don't think you can get towers for nearly that sound at that price, not even close. These are magnificent speakers. For people waiting on 707 towers to go on sale, these 705's are already massive, and you would need a massive room to even benefit from the 707.

707s are $829 each.

A good deal, but still a little high compared to what the sets used to go for. 707s + 706 + 703s come out to $2565....they used to go for about $2100.

No, I have the 707, 706, 703 and 702 as my speakers in my 7.2.4 setup.

Just be sure you have a capable amp to power them.

If you have heard them and like them, no. If you haven't, you might want to take a listen to them first.

I would also point out that if you're considering the 702f/x, they are not preferred for object based sound.

I'm new to the audio/home theatre world. If there an audio only receiver that I can use optical out from TV for this speaker? Not willing to spend $500 on a professional AV receiver. I'm new and would like to learn before I start investing big

Smaller discounts are frequent, but most of these haven't been this cheap in over a year. A lot of folks have been waiting for sub-$500 705s. Nearly an all-time low on the 703s, too.

I just bought a Marantz SR6013 which advertises 110W/channel. Would it be worth it to upgrade to the M705s and M706c from my Monitor 75Ts and CS2, or would I need to drive these with seperate amps to get enough of an improvement to justify spending $1,287?
