Awesome deal on an awesome monitor. No free shipping, but if you have a Best Buy near you, they'll likely have one and they'll be able to price match Newegg.

Shows free shipping for me, but BestBuy price match is still the way to go. I purchased one of these, it had 4 dead pixels, returned no problem to BestBuy, next one had 3 clusters of dead pixels, returned again no problem and the third one was fine. I wouldn't risk it with Newegg as their return policy is terrible compared to BestBuy.

Newegg has a certain pixel allowed policy, and just generally they're pretty bad with returns.

BestBuy you can return an item for free just because you changed your mind, so it's worry free.

I bought a monitor from BB in 2006, it had dead pixels, returned it, got another of the same model, and still sue it 13 years later and don't notice any dead pixels on it. lol. Good thing I didn't assume others of the same model would have them.

What I want to know is why there seems to be hardly any 4k monitors ever ons ale anymore. It seems like all the monitors are under 4k, which is weird.

I never knew that about this monitor. That would probably be a dealbreaker for me.

Most people who want to watch 4K video content are buying a 4K TV. Most gamers want 1080p because it allows them to get good framerates in their games while 1440p would be a choppy unpleasant gaming experience, and some gamers with high end PCs want 1440p because they can still get good framerates at 1440p. Not many people want 4K 60Hz... and 4K 144Hz isn't available, not that anyone's PC could perform at that level anyway.

There's just not much demand for 4K monitors. Maybe if you're a photo editor, or a programmer who wants maximum screen space available to work with, or someone who wants to use their monitor as their TV and not own a TV... but this doesn't describe the majority of people.

I've had this monitor for the past year and half and have loved it. Gaming looks great but also the colors are really good for it being a TN monitor. I will say that, though it does 165hz when I raised it that high I had this glow effect around text (I think it's called inverse ghosting?) that was annoying to see when using the monitor for non-gaming needs so I reduced it to 144hz and that fixed the issue.

I've loved the monitor for the entire time I've owned it though!

Never buy a monitor from newegg, worst monitor return/replacement in the business. It's not worth the $20 you will save.

Isn't 24" a little small for 1440p? is things like text too small or is it ok?

I bought the precursor model to this, the S2416DG from Best Buy. They price matched a nearby Microcenter. I don't know if they'll price match newegg.

Anyway, it's a good monitor. Protip: you typically don't want the monitor super bright if you're trying to depict colors accurately.

I've had this monitor for almost 2 years now. No complaints. I'm okay with things looking small so even when set to 100% scaling in Windows things still look good.

I have windows set to magnify everything to 125% personally cause it did feel a little small at that resolution.

It's not the best monitor when it comes to brightness, contrast, and color accuracy, but man is this a great monitor for the price for 144hz+.
