Thanks, Augtiger!

If you have a paid Audible membership, check out my thread with three free pre-order titles here:

https://slickdeals.net/f/13254292-audible-it-s-not-what-it-looks-like-by-molly-burke-and-2-more-free-pre-orders-for-members-subscription-required

They're probably part of August's Originals set. As mentioned in one of the comments, they won't count against the two free Original titles you get each month (at least, they haven't in past months).

Great sale. Children of time and infinite are two fantastic sci fi titles.

The extraordinary life of Sam hell is a fiction title I recommend to pretty much anyone. It's just a great story.

Finally, commune is one of my favorite books. I picked it up simply because it was narrated by RC Bray. I am happy I did. Not only is it one of his best performances, but it is an excellent story too. I was afraid it would be a story justifying preppier paranoia, but it is the complete opposite, it is a story of people coming together with some really good characters.

Edit. Regarding the previous post about using the library. I wait for audible $99/yr sales. For that price you get 12 books of your choice, 24 audible originals, daily deals that are around $3, and access to sales like this. Most books I get are audible exclusives so they are not even available elsewhere. Even if the library has the book, I have to wait for popular titles. And those out of state libraries have fees averaging $40/yr, with better liberties costing more. if You cancel you no longer have access to the books but with Audible you keep your entire collection. I am all for using local libraries but those paid libraries are a waste of money.

I don't understand why people pay for Audible, it's expensive for what you get. My Library account, the Overdrive and Smart AudioBook Player apps are what I use. I've already read more books so far this year than the 24 credits would allow me with a yearly Audible subscription.

Highly recommended you check out (see what I did there?) what your library system offers. If yours doesn't offer audiobooks you can always get a library card at one of the major metropolitan areas which allow out of state borrowing [aworldadventurebybook.com] for a yearly fee...which is much lower than an audible membership.

The only negative is I don't always know what particular book from my hold list will be available next. I'm just fine with that, it's like a little present when I get the email stating my next book has been automatically checked out for me and is ready to download.

I use the library too, but Audible has exclusives and some of us don't feel like waiting for the library. Sometimes it can take months before you can check out the popular ones.

This has been the best ever sale I've seen in years.
Lots of different books, not just book 1 of a series intended to get you hooked.
Bought 6. Now I need to make more time to listen!

Thanx to the OP

Thanks OP! My haul:
1. Patrick Ness - A Monster Calls
2. Homer - Homer Box Set: Iliad & Odyssey
3. David Enrich - The Spider Network
4. Thomas Asbridge - The Crusades
5. Jacob Grimm - The Original Folk and Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm
6. Andy Weir - Artemis
7. John Green - The Fault in Our Stars
8. Michael Lewis - The Fifth Risk
9. Andrea Wulf - The Invention of Nature
10. Emily Brontë - Wuthering Heights
11. James Baldwin - If Beale Street Could Talk

I would recommend the Drizzt series as well for great world-building in the Forgotten Realms DnD setting taking a front seat to the real shiner, the social commentary on race and sick ass panther statues.
