This is my first time posting a deal and I don't think I did it right. Found these great hummingbird feeders and thought I'd share them with everyone.

Great price and good reviews. Unfortunately none are available at Lowes stores close to me (Tampa).

The hummingbirds around my way don't like to share. One or a pair of birds will guard the feeder and fight off any others. I've never seen more than one bird at a feeder at any one time so having 6 flowers is sorta pointless. Also, during the summer having too much sugar water sitting out can cause it to go bad, start fermenting I guess, so not good for the birds. Finally, all these feeders eventually start leaking, especially the big ones in my experience.

Bought 3 of this exact feeder last time they went on clearance. Nice looking and have attracted several hummingbirds but all three have a slow but steady leak. Maybe 1 drip every 30 seconds or so. They drip on my porch and attract ants.

These are bad. Leaked constantly, all the feed was gone within an hour. Top comes off the glass had to duct tape it. Returned

If you say it three times in a row it'll appear like Beetlejuice. OP already has the first two covered

your better growing plants they like
I have about 30 in my garden
Feeders are great for feeding hummingbirds in the winter when natural nectar is scarce and it's hard for them to find food or as in the case of many people they don't want to or can't grow plants.

That's the way it is where I am too. They are very territorial, one male lays claim to my feeder but he does let the females drink from it in the late winter and spring when it's mating time. Males also sneak in and grab a drink. I agree, if you don't get a lot of birds the bigger capacity feeders will start molding on the inside. I use a smaller 8oz. feeder and once in a while it will even mold. Mine is 4 years old and has never leaked but those pesky Flicker Woodpeckers hang off the flowers and tilt it when it is less than half full causing nectar to drip out onto the patio.

These dont have a perch for them to land on. So either get this to save money on nectar, or dont get it because they're hanging out at the feeders with a perch. We have to fill our feeders w/ a perch 2 times a day, and the perchless one has about 1/4 of the nectar left in it at the end of the day. At least these picky ruby throats in Missouri do.

Edit: If you zoom in closely, it does have plastic sticking out from the rim to be a perch.

*Dollar tree has crappy plastic ones (18 oz) every spring.
I used to get these nice ones but any plastic on them will get brittle in time and will break.
Might as well get the dollar tree ones, if you're going to replace every year
*To the user getting aggressive hummers (tehe), get more feeders and put them out of line of sight from each other.
*make your own nectar = one part table sugar to 4 parts water. never use red dye
*if you feed hummers when it gets cold you NEED to do it till spring.. They wont migrate and will depend on you and your feeder. \
* change sugar water once a week (less in cold weather)
I use 16 feeders with about 5 oz of nectar in each..
sorry guys, I just really like humming birds...
