These are not quite the same as other docs, kinda like a bargain version. No stitching across top, etc.

Not familiar with docs, just know their quality is not the same as they used to be since they're now almost all made in China - whats the difference between these 'bargain' version vs. their standard 1460 version.

I'm a size 11 so interested in these for very casual use. Thanks

China vs England made Docs aside, "bargain' is not quite accurate for these. The Pascal was designed as a streamlined 1460. It's got a sleeker silhouette and is a little less clunky...perfect for everyday use. It runs slightly smaller/narrower than a regular 1460, and it does lack the edge seam along the top as mentioned. I have almost 10 pairs of docs and the Pascal wears more comfortably without a tall sock because of the smooth edge along the top. This Pascal is usually the Napa leather which is a little softer and needs less breaking in than some of the other leathers. For what it's worth the traditional 1460 is also available in the Napa. If you look up 1460 Pascal, there are a lot of versions, some are quite expensive.

I bought these today. I used a Journeys coupon to knock another $5 off and then I signed up for Coupon Cabin and used the mobile app and got another $5, plus 6% back, all in all I got a decent pair boots for less than $40 out the door. I'd say that's worth it. I'll use a black Sharpie fabric marker to black out the stitching though, as rainbow isn't really my bag. Hope that helps. Cheers.
