FREE Samsung Galaxy A20 When you switch to Metro by T-Mobile

Phone is free when you switch from a different carrier, all you pay is for a min. $40 monthly plan plus an activation fee which varies from store to store which is like $10-15 max.

Phone runs same processor as an Galaxy S9 so is definitely worth it if you have a low end phone.

Phone is locked to Metro, wait 6-mons to unlock.
FROM MOETHEMAN225: Historically the only way is to wait six months and then press unlock on the phone's metro unlock app.
It works even if u pay for only the first months service as long as u don't port out the phone number.

Samsung Pay
FROM MIKE2012: Although you can install Samsung pay App, you can't use it, because there is an error message saying that "Samsung Pay is not supported on this device."

Verify port-in numbers:
Please comment and report if the Metro store asked you to verify your port-in numbers.
Which store:
Check statements, Make test calls, etc.

yea this isn't the same processor. The A20 runs a Exynos 7884 while the S9 runs a Exynos 9810.

Completely different ballpark

Given the past abuses metro has had with port in deals, they are a little more stingy now in verifying you have had the port in number for a while and actually trying to call your phone to verify its not just an eBay port in number.

I may actually try this if I can get two samsungs with port in number costs for $120 out the door. my dad is on Metro for two years and would love the A20 and wouldn't need it to be unlocked.

Sweet phone and if you go to corporate store, you can walk out with phone, $50 plan, tax, no activation fee for around $70. They also have the Moto G7 Power which is a battery life beast!

Update: Found it. It is located within Network Settings.

I just got two Samsung Galaxy A20's from Metro & neither one has the Device Unlock app.

Was OOS at store I visited but they had the Stylo 5. Should I get it or wait for the A20 to get back in stock in a week?

I need a new phone but Cricket does not have that good of a plan anymore and it is a pain to get a good phone. I am just worried that T-mobile does not have very good coverage in Atlanta.

I doubt that store will give you one, try a different store. The stores it's "OOS" at just aren't going to participate in this. They are using this promotion to sell their other crap phones once youre in the door.
