$12 off and suddenly its front page with no comments?

Hmmm... Seems suspicious.

I have a pair of these (3" green) and Mackie uses a switch to set the powered speaker to either left or right. I'm coming up on 2 years with these speakers and that switch started going out a few months ago. I have to play around with the switch just to make the speakers work. I opened it up so that I could replace the switch but Mackie potted the hell out of it to where you can't even see the bottom of the switch on the circuit board. Don't expect these to last more than 18 months.

Seems typical SD agenda these days.

For anyone that goes for these, I hope that they've finally done something about the faulty switches on these speakers and/or stopped sabotaging the boards so that they can't be serviced.

Any idea if BestBuy will price match BuyDig? I've got $25 of rewards that I'm dying to use and I'd really like to get these speakers.

I would recommend against anything this small if your goal is to mix music. I've recently gone through the pains and 5" studio monitors is likely the minimum size you want to use, depending on your room. That being said, this is a good price on these speakers.

This deal came up on my twitter feed so I don't think that is the case.

Nope. It is FP for me.

Tried in incognito mode. Also showing FP there.

When I initially saw this deal (which was after people made comments about it being front page) it was only showing up on the "Popular" feed, not the FP. It shows up on the FP for me, now.

Just another data point to consider.

I had mine for about two years before my switch went out. It is definitely a problem with these speakers.
