Slightly off topic but something I want to share. Mattress comfort is a highly subjective opinion. When ordering mattresses online, it's difficult to tell if you're going to like them when they arrive at your home.

I suggest paying careful attention to the qualities of the mattress in the description. In particular, firmness. I like a firm mattress, have ordered many memory foam mattresses over the years from a couple of different retailers. Most recently I ordered an Amazon Basics one during Prime Day, not noticing the firmness level is "plush". My wife, who is 140lbs, sinks straight down to the bed slats on it. I'm not sure who could use it... kids maybe.

Anyway don't make a couple hundred dollar (or more) mistake like I did. Pay close attention to the details, as they're not always easily returnable.

This is apparently a white-label Zinus mattress for Walmart: https://www.zinus.com/products/co...d-mattress

I tried one of Walmart's Zinus mattresses that was supposed to have cooling foam in it, but that thing was the hottest thing I've EVER tried to sleep on. I was very surprised. Thankfully I was able to take it back to the store to get my money back, and the fellow that helped me in with the mattress that worked behind the counter said he tried one and had the same result.

Just saying be prepared if you haven't had a memory foam mattress.

Thanks, dorkino. What's your preferred firm mattress? We have a Tuft & Needle which is pretty good but curious what you have found.

We have been very pleased with bedinabox's mattresses. They not cheap though, and we got bit this time trying to cheap out because the Amazon mattress is for the guest room.

Bedinabox was around well before T&N, Purple, Casper, etc. So we've stuck with them out of loyalty and satisfaction with the product. However that's not to say any of the others aren't good, just we don't have any experience with them.

Aside from this Amazon Basics mattress, we've also tried an IKEA memory foam mattress. It's very thin and hard - like not pleasantly firm, but just hard. It's better than the Amazon one (for us), but we won't be buying IKEA's current offering again either.

You get what you pay for. I've found if you are a finicky sleeper at all, you must try the mattress out first. I've had really good luck with a hybrid mattress what has coils and memory foam. The memory foam ones I've bought in the past just don't last long before 'holes' start developing you sink into.

This has iCoil springs according to the cutout picture. Isn't that a Zinus technology. Is this just a Zinus mattress in disguise?
