Only 100 Mbps Ethernet connection kills it for me. I leave my laptop plugged in and connected to external monitor so prefer to use Ethernet connection

The Zenbook looks pretty compelling at that price. Anyone with direct experience care to comment on real world battery life?

Thoughts on the $399 Dell? I'm looking for touch screen, SSD, and numeric keypad. Seems like a good deal.

That's really odd only a 100 Mbps Ethernet connection on a new laptop. Confused

I'm seeing that lappy at $499. Does it start on 8/7?

I must be missing something. Why wouldn't I want:

for $429? Yeah, I give up the 10/100 (which is kinda useless and would need a gigabit adapter), but I get 4GB more of memory, probably a slower but larger hard drive, and a CD/DVD reader.

Very tempted on that Dell G5 G5590. Per Costco site, it has a 6 cell 90whr battery, which is exactly what I have been looking for in a laptop that size. Can anyone confirm if that is legit, and not a typo? Because I checked Dell site and they don't seem to have 6 cell option for G5.

The Dell G5 5590 has a 60 watt hour battery not 90. Battery life is still good for a gaming laptop, but this is overpriced at $1300.
