Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM Lens $376 FS 6ave Electronics through Rakuten

I usually am annoyed when people post a specific deal from a sitewide sale/deal, but I was just so stoked after getting this lens for only $376 (actually I had $9 off Rakuten points so a bit cheaper) without tax shipped for free! It is retail $479 and I've been watching it on Ebay for a few months, never dropping below $400 used.

This is the best EF-M lens you can buy that some reviews suggest is on par with L series. There has been Sigma ART lens deals for EF mount, which is a superb old lens, but with a EF to EF-M adapter the thing is a huge. The whole point of mirrorless for me was the portability and I love my m50. Perfect timing too because I'm tired of getting shown up by my sister-in-law's Sigma ART 1.4 taking amazing photos of my baby last week.

It is $437.09 and additional 15% off with max of $60 so it is about $376 with FS. IIRC 6ave electronics may have tax if you are in NY.

Imho, this is one of the most incredible little lenses ever made. I use it with my M6, and I am always stunned by the images it produces. I have much more expensive cameras and lenses, but this little gem punches way above it's class. Must buy if you have a Canon aps-c mirrorless camera, and may be a strong enough reason to consider one if you don't.

Sounds like a good deal. I've been impressed by the photos I've seen taken with this lens.

I have the EF-M 22mm pancake and love it. I also have an adapted EF 50mm f/1.4. What's been stopping me from picking this one up is the thought that I could either walk in closer with the 22 (or crop), or farther back with the 50 and get something pretty similar to what I'd get with this one. Just wondering if I'd use it enough to justify the risk I'm taking with further investing in the EF-M system.

I am pretty happy with the m system. I own almost every lens for it, and I can take them with me on vacation at a fraction of the weight of a similar set in ef-s. I usually travel with the 22mm, the 11-22mm, the18-150, and often, but not always, an adapted 55-250mm ef-s. This will be added to that bag.

F1.4 is the big deal here (vs f2.0 on the 22mm pancake, which is also very nice.)

Many reviews have called this lens the must have lens for the m system. However, this is an expensive lens compared to other lenses in the m line-up, and the adapted 50 you have is also f1.4. If you decide you do want the 32, this is about $100 cheaper than anything else I've seen.

22mm was my first non-kit lens and I loved it. Mostly because it had f/1.8 and I got that sweet bokeh. Then I also picked up the nifty fifty with the adapter, and although it is now the size of a telephoto lens I loved the ~85mm length (1.6x crop on my APS-C). I still didn't really have a equivalent 50mm other than my kit lens. I have the same feelings when I look at my sister-in-laws full frame DSLR with Sigma ART f/1.4. Is it time to move up to full frame SLR? then I have to remind myself how easy it is to pack this baby in my bookbag for trips. Love the portability. I just hope Canon keeps investing in this because I really hate having to use the adapter with EF lenses as it defeats the portability aspect.

Absolutely my man. I bought a Wandrd bookbag and I only need half of the camera cube for my mirrorless system and that's with 4 lenses. Next on my list is a ultra-wide like the 11-22. Yea compared to the other lenses in the line up this is pricey but then I look at how Sigma ART is FP at like $550 and with adapter is enormous on my little m50 it becomes a no brainer even at retail. I am just glad I found this deal instead of having to buy used on Ebay for $400.

I can vouch for the 11-22mm. My copy is crystal clear and dead sharp. It is one of my favorite lenses for the system. I almost always shoot at 11mm with it. It's another must-have lens for the m-system.

The 11-22, the 22, the 32, and the 18-150 will be my travel kit. If I don't have to carry it far, I may add the adapted 55-250 ef-s (get one! They are super cheap ($125) on the right Canon refurb deal, and mine blows the ef-m 55-200 out of the water!)

When I get the 32, the 22 may not keep making it in this bag (but it is so small that I may just keep it in anyways).

Good to know! Yea I didn't have an ultrawide on my recent trip and it was very sad that the camera phones were getting better landscape shots.

Yea the 22 is so small and it's probably better for night/indoor shots than 11-22. I've heard the 18-150 is a popular but I want to get the 11-22 first. I need to sell my 55-200, I haven't found a use for it yet. So not sure if I'll get the 55-250 especially since I'd have to get another adapter probably. Maybe if I go to a sports game I could use it. I'm a novice photographer so still learning.
