The Lacoste sunglasses I purchased from this sight were FAKES.

Buyer beware.

Its UV coated which protects your eyes. Polarization reduces glare which doesnt necessarily protect your eyes. Good looking out though.

98% of sunglasses are made by the same company. The brands are just a scam to make more money. Fakes or not, if they're decent quality and you got a deal, live with it. If you paid a ton for a brand name, return and buy off brand, you're much better off that way

Spend a little more (or less for off brand) and get polarized. Protect your eyes.

While I too love polarized lenses (and so does everyone on SD since it's the first thing someone gripes about when a sunglass deal is posted), they don't have much to do with protecting your eyes. That would be the 100% UV protection.

Polarization is overrated in my book. It doesn't protect your eyes. Also, polarization can make it difficult/impossible to read electronic displays, heads up displays, and other types of digital signage. I stopped wearing polarized sunglasses while driving because they caused too many issues for me. Also, pilots don't wear polarized sunglasses for the same reason.
