If the back cover is opened by the consumer for any reason (upgrade or replace a part) LG voids the warranty. Confirmed by 2 CSRs. Just an FYI!

Anyone know if this is available at B&M? I could swear I saw it there a few weeks ago...

Yes. I went to my local one a couple months ago to see it. The screen wobbled when I typed on it, and the keyboard flexed down quite a bit, so I didn't bite. They really had to leave out a lot of stiffness from the keyboard deck and screen hinges to keep it so light. It could use a couple more ounces of structural support IMHO.

Nice laptop but I have to return it. Same performance as my 6300hq. Was just too slow compiling Angular code as it got bigger.

You should have replaced SSDs to Nvme and undervolt the CPU to get maximum performance out of it, remember it's U series processor so it will perform max of 15W TDP. HQ or H series are 35 or 45W TDP so they will have better performance.

Tried nvme since node_modules are tiny and tons of them to compile. Did not work. May be this is mostly for regular web browsing and business application.

Theyve had it at my Costco for at least a month. I just tried it out last night while there.

Good to know. I like the size of this laptop when I've tried it but the U series processor concerns me. According to benchmarks, it performs fairly closely to the i7-3770K I have in my desktop, which does fine, but if you're having issues just compiling Angular, I'm sure I won't be happy with it for .NET Core / Vue.js development... 😕

I'm still considering to keep it. I like the larger screen and battery life, it's nice for my photo editing and remote office work from my couch, not stuck to the monitor.

But if I change my mind, I will go for the dell OLED with the H series 9th gen

That's a nice machine, in my case I really need a 17" screen.
