I don't have much use from this, but my friend loved it as a gift as she is a huge fan of cooking.

Will the rebate let you get both?

Hi fipjr5

Per the rebate form, it looks like you can.. see the wording regarding "multiple offers to submit". It looks like you will need a separate form and separate envelope for each.
As always, you should read the rebate form thoroughly before making your purchase.

If you get the corningware French white set, make sure you check the fit and finish of the oval bakers. I got two sets and the dish was quite warped on the top lip. You won't be able to tell until you try to cover it with the included lids. For me, the glass lid would not stay, and the plastic lid outright wouldn't fit.

On my second exchange , I just accepted that it was not going to get any better, since it was so cheap. But compared to my mom's set which she got over ten years ago, mine was much worse.

The glass lid is a loose fit pretty much the same way a glass top fits a slow cooker.

The plastic lid fits mine but only one way. If it turn it 180 degrees it wont fit right. And even the right way its not easy, very tight fit that takes some effort

My plastic lids wouldn't go on at all in any direction because the dishes were just too wide at the top. That was the giveaway to exchange them, since plastic is basically always perfect sized.

So apparently none of this stuff is durable anymore? Or are the negative reviews of these exploding in the oven (both sets) just freak accidents or stupid users?

All Pyrex is junk in the oven now imo. I've had 2 break in the oven at 350 for less than an hour this year alone. I'd only buy these for food storage

Darn. I'm behind the times and didn't know there's no longer free shipping with a beauty item. I was going to purchase the Corningware as a gift. I just saw the mixed reviews with the comment above about bakeware exploding in the oven. Scary!

Ugh, well that kinda defeats the purpose. I saw negative reviews for the Corningware too (same issue, no longer made in America either)

I'm so glad that Macy's moved to allowing online rebate submissions!
https://www.macysrebates.com/ [macysrebates.com]

The Offer #s are:
Corningware: 19-79564
Pyrex: 19-79563

You'll need to take a photo of the UPC and packing slip upon delivery... but it sure beats printing up pages, manually completing paperwork, and you get to save a stamp Smilie

I love the set i have from about 4 years ago. I use about 3x a week in both microwave and oven, put leftovers in fridge and then microwave it in the same containers. Never had a problem with any of them. I don't freeze them so I can't comment on freezer to oven. I feel like that could cause them to explode.
