For those who don't mind used (and by used I mean typically once), definitely recommend trying to get a bag from their garage sales. I picked up a brand new (tag even said used on one hike) Osprey Stratos 24 this past weekend for $65. It's fun looking through packs and they have plenty, the people who arrive early screw themselves over by not waiting for more to be put out as people grab the lesser sales.

REI packs are fine for overnight camping but tend to be lacking for daypacks IMO. Do your research and have a few packs in mind then go dig through one of their quarterly sales. It's actually a lot of fun seeing what you find!

If anyone wants a 25% off coupon code: TEV6N-A5GK1-K4HCG-2RBW8

25% off one full-price REI Co-op brand item (bikes excluded). Offer ends 8/1.

I believe it can only be used once.

Not on sale, but their Trail 40 bag is pretty solid. Also, check your email for a 25% off REI Co-Op brand item. Might be targeted, not sure. But it will apply to non-sale items.

How is it compared to Osprey Atmos?

the mens and women traverse seem like a good price for the size (70 liter) wonder how the quality is, reviews seem decent.

I have a flash 18 and a flash 45, they are lighter than other materials in bags like Osprey, but the flash 18 has held up over several trips. It feels light and not so durable, but I haven't had problems.

That coupon expires after tomorrow sadly, right when the $20 bonus cards start. I was going to see about combining that coupon on one of their designer branded hydroflasks to see if it would even work ha.

That's a good point. I've never had a chance to get to those garage sales

Is there a coupon code for the 25% off or is that user specific?

Be sure to check out the straps on these bags. Some can be bad for long term wear, and so make sure it works for your needs.

I bought the Traverse 70 at a similar sale last year. I have been really impressed with the quality of materials and adjustability of the pack.

Oof just bought that same flash 22 last week for a hike. Has held up fine so far, I like that it's light and has a waist strap even for a small pack. Looks like I'm going in for a price adj. Thanks OP.
