If you are going to buy Knipex, get the push button style.

Cobra has the push button adjust and more possible positions. This uses a slip-joint like system and has fewer positions.

I actually prefer these. The 10" alligators are my go to knipex plier. I can adjust them faster than the push button style and it's also easier to adjust one handed. Maybe some are slick at adjusting the push button one handed, I never thought got the hang of it. So the alligators are my go to style. I use them on an almost daily basis. 10" are a perfect size for what I do. I've never ever had a moment where there wasn't a good position.

Are these more durable than the Cobra? Any other advantages?

Price is not the lowest since 2013...at least I'm not seeing that on CCC.

They are both hardened steel, so other than the push button and more positions, no. They are awesome.

If you love slip joint pliers, these are going to be outstanding slip joint pliers. If you haven't tried the push button style, get the cobras. Unless you've been using slip joints one handed for years, you'll probably prefer it.

Either choice of Knipex will amaze you. Slim and precise, and they don't slip, they just keep biting.
