Samsung 22-cu ft Counter-depth French Door Refrigerator with Ice Maker (Stainless Steel Stainless Steel) ENERGY STAR

$1,599.00 Was $3,099.00
Save 48% thru 10/15/2019

You Can stack a 10% coupon online, but was only able to reduce the price to the Minimum retail price with a coupon instore which was around 1519.00 or 5%off.

I don't see many counter depth refrigerators go on clearance, so I thought I would give this one a shot.

good luck with this. I have this model, purchased it from HD 5 yrs ago when it was a new model (for way more than this though).
Ice maker stinks. gives you wet\crushed ice and freezes up every few months. You have to defrost it to get it going again.
At least 1-2x a year (usually around thanksgiving or xmas) a temperature sensor will go bad. $10 part, but someone has to come out and diagnose, order part, and come back to install. You end up throwing out food. I eventually bought a 2nd fridge for the basement as a backup when this one goes bad. Most recently they replaced some fans that had gone bad because the coils in the back of the fridge ice up regularly and eventually wear out the fan (known issue with this type of Samsung fridge). And most annoyingly, there is no place to put your butter.

Thankfully I bought the 5yr warranty. The nice lady at the HD protection plan is the #5 top called number on my phone...seriously.

It sure looks pretty thoughSmilie
Or maybe I'm wrong and Samsung has fixed all these flaws in the past 5 yrs, but you've been warned.

and wtf is with counter depth fridges costing more than regular size\larger fridges...

I have this fridge but without the front water/ice dispenser. I purchased it new from Costco in May this year and have had people out to look at the ice maker (located in the drawer) twice, as well as a plumber to examine the water line, and still no ice. There's an appointment this week for a third Samsung repairman to take a look at it and switch out the ice maker for the second time. Luckily I have a 4 year warranty with Costco, but it hasn't been fun so far.

Samsung makes great phones. Damn good tv's. Appliances look good, but break down early and often. Complete garbage. Stay far, far away.

shocking how bad the reviews are due to the icemaker. Probably not a big enough discount to deal with that garbage.

I agree 100% with you. I have this fridge and the ice maker broke within 5 years. And I had 2-3 other friends with similar Samsung fridges that had their ice machines break as well. Avoid at all costs!

Agreed. Stay away from this fridge. Ruined my kitchen floor when it decides to flood out.

We have this Samsung fridge and our ice maker freezes over as well. I don't defrost the freezer to fix the ice maker issue, I lightly tap the ice frozen over with a small hammer or vise grips and sweep out into a bowl. I have to repeat this process every month or two. This works for me. With that said, doubt I'll ever buy a Samsung appliance again.

I read somewhere that there is a class action lawsuits against Samsung for the ice maker issue.

not going to leave a TD, because thAnk you op for posting a deal, but for anyone looking to buy this fridge, please look elsewhere.

Samsung uses Dish Network
For warrant repairs. I have had numerous problems with their refrigerators and microwaves.

I purchased a new refrigerator on Monday and scheduled it to be delivered on Thursday so my wife could be off work. The delivery team called about 8:40 and said they were on their way and would be there about 9:00. My wife loaded the food into coolers and tubs to be ready. They show up, relocate the old fridge to the garage and unload the new one. The new one had a dent in it. They offered us a $300 discount to keep it, but honestly there is no way I would have took that deal. They said they would have to order another one and said they could not put the old one back in the house. When asked again they said yes but jumped in the truck and drove off. The old fridge was sitting on top of the cord and could not be plugged back in to an electrical outlet. I went to Lowe's and talked to the manager on duty. He said that the delivery truck would be back within 10 min to reinstall the old fridge. I finally get a call back around 11:30 saying that they were sending store employees (stockers) to move it back in. The food ended up sitting out for 4 hours and we threw away a garbage bag full.

Now to the REST of the story. The two stockers show up with a dolly but not an appliance dolly with straps. In an attempt to move it in the house the lose control of it and roll it off the steps into the yard. It put deep scratches the refrigerator, dented it and broke a brick off the front steps. Then when they finally do get it into the house they take a chunk off my 8ft front door. My ring camera captured it on video.

Really crappy string of unfortunate events but doesn't have much to do with this specific product at all. More or less one off issue with whoever your local Lowes uses as the delivery crew.

Out of curiosity have you tried turning the water valve down slightly to decrease the water pressure?

I hate our ice maker, it's never cubes it always comes out crushed and shaved. It doesn't even fill up the holder in a 24 hour period. I just told hubby he needs to look up on YouTube to see if there's a fix.
