You might need to compromise 4k touch screen for that range I believe...

At this price point, you're basically paying for the physical weight (2.67lbs) and fast storage (1TB SSD)

Don't know why Dell decided to put the Killer WiFi card in there. Intel would have been a better choice... If not for stability, for long term.

Costco... HP 13" i7 8550 16RAM 512SSD 2 GB NVIDIA... $1099.

I purchased Feb for $999... Seriously best laptop I've owned... No heat, light weight, good battery... Amazingly fast (keep in mind it's not a gamer pc). I'm going to buy another and kick my Dell to the curb.

I'm not saying this is an equivalent deal, but I started looking at getting a 15" XPS recently and found a handful of people selling their used ones for around $900. I almost jumped on an XPS 15 9560 for $950 before deciding to get a used MBP instead (wanted a Linux-like environment for software dev and decided the cheapness of a non-Mac wasn't worth the suboptimal drivers and power management of Ubuntu [not to knock on Ubuntu]).

That XPS had an i7-7700HQ, 16GB DDR4, a GTX 1050, and a 4K Infinity Edge screen. Only a couple years old (so yeah, camera on the bottom). Yes, it was used and doesn't come with a Dell warranty or Costco return policy, but I'm sure if you found one in good shape it would last you for years to come still.

Just wanted to put that out there, in case anyone else is looking for a good XPS system but can't stomach $1500 for a 13" screen and integrated graphics.

There were some Dell refurb deals for the 9370 with 512gb SSD for around $1k early this year. I bought one and it's been superb.

Haven't seen any similar deals since then. I love me some storage, but not for $500.

An hour ago I bought an XPS 13 9380 certified refurb from Dells website with 14% off after talking to online chat support for $795 all in US tax included. It was like $750 prior to tax.
I5-8265u , 256gb ssd, 8gb ram, touch screen, non 4k.

I'm only saying that here because I had sticker shock looking at this post and thought maybe some of you would like a refurb option.

I hope it works out for me. And I hope you all can find a good deal that works for you!

My god this is a horrible value. So many similar alternatives for 1/2 the price.

And with that Dell crackpot decision, those Dell models are at the bottom of my list.

I'm finding too many laptops lately that are almost perfect, except there is one thing that usually you can live with, but they bugger it up so much, you wonder what child they gave it to in order to engineer.

I presume it's due to the infinityedge screen. You have to compromise somewhere if you want to get flashy and minimize the bezel size.

The one in this post has a 1TB vs 512GB SSD.for the 9380.

Although, I'd pay the extra $100 for the newer core and compromise on the storage space.
