Depends on the cashier but the system allows it.

Last week, I was behind a woman buying one MasterCard GC with more then 2 CC. Cashier called the manager over to check her ID and ring up the gift card.

Can someone help me out here because I'm totally out of the loop. What is the value in buying a $200 Visa GC with no transaction fee? Does INK give a special bonus or something?

Chase Ink and Amex Simply Cash give 5% at Office Supply Stores. In addition, some Amex card have a $10 off $40 and/or a 10% off OOS.

Also adding. Check your chase offers. Some cards have 7%-20% offers for Staples ($ limited).

Anyone know if both offers will activate on 1 purchase? I have both but don't want to buy $400 worth of gift cards.

If you're referring to Amex, yes. They have been known to stack.

You can also split payment. I bought several during the Mastercard promo and put the minimum needed on my Amex, the rest on my Ink (UR points more valuable to me).

This is good news! And Safeway stores (Tom Thumb, Albertsons, etc.) has this on $50 and $100 Visa gift cards until 8/3. Have to add the digital Just 4 U coupon.

Is there a way to get the $200 off the cards without spending it? Kind of like a recycle thing.
