I was waiting on a deal on the M12 lantern, and here it is!

There are other M12 specials, but mostly inferior to last month:

These stood out to me because of % discount off msrp, but I don't need so many lights... Or so I keep reminding myself

I'm not a fan of this lantern light. It gets knock over very easily. It is definitely not good for working on cars. The work light or m12 rover is much better for that. Even for camping it ain't that great. The surface would have to be pretty much level for it not to fall over. The m18 lantern is much better as the battery is heavier and thus make the bottom base much more stable

Yep, plus it was available in stores so you can return the battery for pro-rate refund

They have it with a 2.0 ah battery now so I imagine so...would be weird to do both at the same time for the same price otherwise who would take the small battery for the same price?

Because, Home Depot.

And was the 6.0Ah pack available online or just in store? if just in store, probably entirely possible its still going, in-store only.

Well then, it probably IS dead. Oh well.

I actually had the light in hand a couple months ago, but they didnt have the free battery pack in stock so I didnt bite. Never went back after that.

I have the 18V version of the rocket light and its awesome. Not sure the height difference between it and the 12V version.

I have both and want to say it's roughly an 14-18" difference (it's not near me at the moment), but the m12 is still worth it for the weight and compactness. It's so easy to chuck in a car to go look at something (and you can use it like a pole light or an extension off of your arm).

Yes, at least on line it ended today. The SKU is still there but it shows full price ($149 + whatever the battery costs).

Not sure why someone thought I was being unhelpful. In store free XXX with YYY purchase deals can be broken up and returned piece meal at Home Depot for prorate refund. That's why the Rocket Light deal last month with the 6.0 battery was a front page deal. The deal was good but its own but slick if you don't need the battery and buy in store.

Free XXX with YYY packages bought online cannot be broken up.
