I'm just going to leave this here for folks wanting to use this with a GSM carrier (AT&T, T-Mobile). If you are planning to use with Total Wireless please disregard...

Total Wireless phone will likely be shipped with iOS 12.2 or higher. It must be updated to iOS 12.4 before trying to activate. Note: You cannot use this phone on Sprint.

You will need an interposer that attaches to your carrier SIM and stays in the SIM tray.

Get the latest valid ICCID from Parrotgeek website.

In order to program the interposer with the latest valid ICCID you need one of the following:

A carrier unlocked iPhone. Put your GSM carrier SIM and the interposer into the SIM tray of the carrier unlocked iPhone. If the activation screen does not appear (which is a good thing!) navigate to Settings > Cellular > SIM Applications > Edit ICCID. Enter the valid 20 digit ICCID from ParrotGeek and it should say it was successful. Power down the carrier unlocked iPhone and remove your GSM SIM and interposer. You are ready to put it in the Total Wireless iPhone and pass activation (assuming you already updated the Total Wireless phone to 12.4!).

Even an old iPhone 4 will work you may need to use the dialer to access the ICCID menu.

The possible dialer combinations are:

*5005*7672*00# then call button;
*5005*7672*99# then call button;
*5005*7672*5858# then call button;

If you do not have a carrier unlocked iPhone you will need an interposer that will automatically pop up the interposer's Edit ICCID menu as Apple disabled it in iOS 12.2 and later. Ideal LTE or RSIM 14 as long as it is an interposer. eBay is your best bet, $5-10 bucks.

This is a soft unlock and will survive reboots with the same SIM/interposer but not a factory reset or changing to a different SIM card *unless* the already programmed ICCID is still valid (not likely).

Make SURE to talk to an actual total wireless representative and activate the AMAZON SIM CARD FIRST before anything.

I went through the automated service near midnight and the system asked for my IMEI, AMAZON SIM and Service PIN ($ 25) and the damned system sent the Service PIN/Plan to the 6S' SIM or through its IMEI because it will still lock onto it even if you remove the SIM included inside the 6S and you WILL NO LONGER BE ELIGIBLE for the $ 25 Amazon Promo.

Activate Amazon's SIM first, then put the Service PIN/Plan in.
Maybe even use an unlocked phone first to activate the Amazon SIM.

1) Go to https://www.totalwireless.com/act...arrier=VZW
2) Enter the IMEI of an unlocked phone you own
3) Enter SIM card number from the $0.99 SIM kit you ordered from Amazon
4) Enter Service PIN for the plan which comes in a separate card from this deal
5) Complete account set up

Then just wait for the $25 gift card text message to come in a few business days. After you get the gift card, you can switch the IMEI back to the iPhone 6s from this deal.

Bonus: If you leave the original SIM card that comes with the iPhone 6s unactivated, they will start sending you email promotions in a month or two that usually offers $15 Amazon gift to activate it with a plan.

Anyone know how many times you can use a coupon? I used one the other day, got a new coupon and can't get the site to accept it. Maybe they go by IP.

Simple Mobile iPhones are unlocked or something? Or do they unlock easily?

Usually I use this R-SIM and I can use GSM carriers/MNVOs like AT&T/T-Mobile/Cricket/etc, without issue

Thanks

Thanks. I'll give it a try.
Well, I did try but it didn't work. I thought it was a good idea. I still get message "This promo code cannot be used at this time. Please, try again later."

Since this is a Verizon iPhone 6s, can it be used with AT&T MVNO sim cards without unlocking, or do I still have to run TW for a year? Aren't Verizon iPhones usually unlocked on the GSM side?

Got it for $67.89 with the $25 card. Paid $80 last week and sold for $120. I may keep this one I like the way it feels rather than my 7 plus.
