Good Review here:

Some interesting comments from the video.
Stanley Black and Decker have taken over the CRAFTSMAN line and they are bringing the quality back from many years ago. These are NOT the same tools that are sold at Sears.

EGO vs. Craftsman: The EGO runs longer and charges faster but the Craftsman cuts better, bags better and has much better build quality.

Helpful tip if you get the self propelled and don't read the manual:
If you try to reverse from self propelling forward motion, wheels will be locked. Gently push forward (manually) to unlock the wheels and then go back. There is a negative review about this on Lowes but it's not that big of deal in my opinion.

Can somebody please confirm that the 5.0AH battery (CMCB6050) will work on the self-propelled lawn mower model? (CMCMW270) It looks like a couple of you replaced (or Craftsman replaced) the 7.5 with 5.0s, just need to confirm before I go buy one. My battery died after 3 mows into the new year.

Thanks!
I believe it will fit, I use my 2.5ah batteries in my mower and they fit and work fine. Although I don't own the 5ah battery, only the 7.5ah. Batteries usually have at least 3 year warranty, perhaps talk to Craftsman support first before you buy, batteries are expensive, good luck.

This one stalled on me with 16-day high grass, I had to use my gas one.
For now, no way electric mower can be more powerful than gas, at least apply to this one.
In reality gas will always be more powerful but battery operated ones are also good. Mine usually work fine on tall grass with bagging except when it's a bit wet, then the opening to the bag gets clogged, I think it's not a big deal myself.

I already talked to Craftsman at length, they said they didn't have any batteries in stock so they just refunded the cost of the mower. I know the 2.5ah will fit, but I've read conflicting stories on the 5.0ah. I suppose I can just go buy a 5.0ah at Menards and if it doesn't fit, I'll just return it and maybe buy a 2.5ah and see how much of my yard that will chew through.

For the record, and for future reference, the V60 5.0ah battery CMCB6050 will replace the V60 7.5ah battery CMCB6075 just fine. It will fit into and operate the Craftsman 21" Self-Propelled Mower CMCMW270. I've used mine with no problems at all. The battery needs a slight nudge to seat correctly but it works perfectly. I hope somebody else in my dilemma can find this and be assured that it will work (as long as they're still out there). I bought the last one at my local Menards and I'm glad I did as they had three there the week before (they still had three 2.5ah batteries left). I found out later that like 2 months after we all bought these mowers they were discontinued, obviously because a major defect was found, and thus the extremely low price. I plan on trying to keep mine running for as long as I can find batteries, I love this damn thing.
