I have both these, and the Samsung Galaxy Buds. I prefer the buds for a few different reasons:
1. the buds don't stick out as far from my ear(these look odd)
2. the buds stay in the ears because of #1(and also a different tip design)
3. because the buds are in the ears my thoroughly, they block out more sound(might be a con depending on use)
4. The buds have a slightly better connection, they use BT 5.0, where I believe these use 4.2
5. The buds have a better app, have an EQ built into the app, and allow for ambient sound to pass through with app settings.
6. You can buy the Galaxy buds for 114.99 on Amazon brand new compared to some refurb here for around the same price.

I have the blue/ yellow version of these and I love them. It doesnt have noise cancellation which I find odd for such a retail price. But they're worth it. Much better than the Samsungs that has noise cancellation. Very comfortable even after an hour at the gym. If i had to buy another set, I'd buy them again at $199. I'm that happy with them.

What does factory renewed mean? Does it mean the same thing as refurbished?

How are these compared to the Samsung one in terms of call quality and longevity?

From my experience when I had an issue with their headphone. They generally send a refurbished headphone not a new one.

I've heard these have great sound, but they seem large and stick out of your ear a lot. Anyone have experience with how these feel in your ear?

i had a pair that i ended up returning. The Left side started skipping when playing amazon music then flat out loses connection. They are a little big, sound quality is pretty good when they are working property. But i wouldn't take a gamble on the refurbished unit.

I have a lot of Bose products. I got their QC30 as a refurb. They lasted about 2 months, then had issues. Point is, I contacted customer service and they made it right. Sent me out a new pair, had this pair now for 2years and still going strong.

If you are scared about PTT, don't be, they have great CS.

How is noise isolation with these? Can they block out sounds if I am working out?

They really do have one of the best CS. They always just send out a new one.
