The plans are cheaper, $30/line for five lines (plus the usual significant fees and taxes, and requires autopay and paperless billing or it's $10/line more). Skip the first 10 pages of debate about that.

So what's the catch? The least expensive plan appears to be subject to your data being deprioritized. That's what "In times of congestion, your data may be temporarily slower than other traffic" means.

So when there is a lot of demand for data/big crowds (events, rush hour, etc) your data will transmit only as low-priority bandwidth allows, and at much lower speeds. Depending on how severe this is - deprioritization can make data entirely unusable. (That's what people experience using prepaid plans.)

Premium data is the allocation on which you are not deprioritized, and subject to lower speeds when demand is high. Premium data requests take priority when there is a lot of demand.

So the more expensive plans may be what you need, for some of the lines, to get fully usable data at all times. Still an interesting deal, depending on your needs.

It's $340 pre taxes, for five lines first plan. Do some people actually pay that much monthly, crazy.

Why the TD? This looks like it could potentially be a great deal for people who can get 5 lines for $150 and are okay with the 480p streaming. Anyone know what the limit streaming refers to specifically? All videos including embedded ones in web pages? Do they have a way to limit streaming on all apps including Netflix, Prime Video, and everything else?

Also, what is premium data? Does that just mean that if you get the plan without it that they prioritize all other data over yours even though you have "unlimited"?

Because it's Verizon and faux Unlimited Plans.

The new plans are actually discounts over the current plans. Evidently folks can't look pass their bias to see that it's actually rare for VZW to make such a change.

Is this deprioritization really visible in real world scenarios? I would imagine this would be a big deal in very crowded places like stadiums which most people are not every day.

In crowded places premium data will be fast when compared to normal Verizon users.
