At first I read this as Ortronics and was wondering when they started making light bulbs

2700k = Soft White or Yellow Light; like incandescents or old holiday bulbs
5000k = "Cool white" or "Sunlight equivalent"
6500k = "Bright white"

Note also that the color temperature has nothing to do with its wattage equivalent. A 6500k bulb can still be dim. Look for the wattage equivalent or, as a better measurement, lumens.

Otronics seems to be pushed here semi regularly.
Search forums. Take "deal" with skepticism, seems suspiciously popular.

Has anyone seen one of these types of led bulbs that allow light out of the sides? The halogen ones do. My lights have frosted globes that glow when the light is on.

My house was constructed in 2010 and they used these type of mounts for my porch lights. Isnt this f$&@ing outdated? I dont understand why they didnt just use regular E type mounts???

The lighting is soft and used in the living room. It has been used for half a year and will be so bright.

From other threads on this, I've learned that this type of mount was intended to be the replacement for the standard screw type bulbs.
For whatever reason, it wound up not taking off, but a lot of new construction was built with these (my bathroom has them, but everywhere else in the house has your standard Edison connector).

Menards has a 6 pack of Feit brand 50 watt, for $10, that have been amazing. Picked up roughly 100 of them for our store track lighting. The others if there same brand I have purchased have lasted years. Ended up with them after having back luck buying other brands on Amazon where they would fail after a few months
