I would save the extra $70 and get the X1500H instead that was just posted

X2600H is already on Amazon for $650. What does that offer over this though?

Confirmed the 2500H wont get eArc via firmware.

From what I've read there is no point having a receiver with upscaling. Your TV/projector will do a MUCH better job. Pretend thats not a feature and look at everything else it offers to see if it's worth it for you.

This is not necessarily a true statement...not all TV upscalers are created equally...

The Vizio sets, for example, have a relatively weak upscaler on low-res input signals....the same source fed thru a receiver with a decent upscaler can bypass the TV's weakness and look pretty darn sweet.
