Note: most folks that have issue with this soundbar went cheap on the HDMI cable and did NOT use one that's capable of ethernet over HDMI... therefore they lack the bandwidth to run smoothly. Therefore they complain the soundbar is the problem.

User error, plain and simple.

Pro-tip: the user manual says to use a high speed ethernet HDMI cable and most people dont own those.

those Upward-firing drivers are the dolby atmos thing that can bounce the sound off the ceiling of your living room, giving the impression that sounds are coming from above you.

Reviews on this soundbar seemed decent. The speakers on the bar themselves are aimed up so I wonder if that plays a part on the pitch of the sound?

Purchased this on a previous deal. Having a weird issue where it seems like the volume goes low, then goes back up. Kind of like losing its punch. Anyone else with this issue? When I first got it, it was great for a sound bar.

Happened to my LG SK10Y. So wanted to love it, but returned it.

Contacted LG but they were not helpful.

Jeez, at this price, you might as well invest in putting in a legitimate surround sound system.

I got one from a previous deal. Good sound but almost zero bass. Keep that in mind if purchasing.

Have this soundbar. Sounds awesome. THis thing def has bass, you have to make sure the settings are correct. Got the rears for this for around 150 and it's amazing to watch movies and shows in. Only issue I had was making sure the settings were good to be able to hear dialogue over action sometimes.

LG sucks. I got one I forgot which model. Bluetooth can't be turned off, can't be renamed, can't set pin. And me and my neighbor somehow got the exact same model. And now in the bluetooth list, there are two devices with exactly the same name. You can imagine how many times my neighbor accidentally connected to my sound bar and interrupted my sound. I searched online and there are so many people complaining about this. And the stupid LG just won't release a simple firmware update to fix it. Now my family just blacklisted LG for everything.

I had seen this at Best Buy today and decided to check it out. I'm not a tech and sound guy so all these tech talk goes over my head. Would this be a good recommendation for a good soundbar? I think the price is good for what you're getting. I would rather pay $490 for this than $1,500 for a high end soundbar.

Concur with all of the issues mentioned in this forum. I have a certified high speed HDMI cable. Bass is mediocre. Subwoofer will loose connection periodically. Returned it. There is a reason why this soundbar is on sale multiple times.

I have this sound bar. It's longer than I expected. It sounds pretty good. I think you need the rear speakers to make it really shine though. Great for tv/movies, not good for music.
