Got one, I was due to pay for protect plus on 8/13 anyways. $40 for a camera is a great price.

Awesome deal. Was about to pay for a year of home security monitoring for $100. Now got a Ring 2 camera for $40 more!

Anyway to just keep the plan and sell the camera? Or is it tied in with the camera?

I just got the Best Buy Ring Pro and installed it Sunday. I really like it and ordered the Ring security kit as well. I was going to get the $10 a month service but this is a steal for me. Basically only $20 for the camera. Thanks OP.

How does the ring 2 compare to the pro doorbell? I have the ring 2 and it's great. Only issue is the false motion alerts I get. Thanks!

I'm still trying to figure out how to redeem the plan credit. All I received was the doorbell. No redemption card or auto upgrade in the app after activating it.

Sounds like it's tied in with the device

This seems like a great deal if you already have a Ring alarm system. Subtract the $100 for a year of Protect Plus and you get a video doorbell for $40... I think?

I've read some older threads and saw mixed information on how the included 12 months of Protect Plus works. Some say that if you already have Protect Plus for your Ring alarm or other devices, when you activate this doorbell you get 12 more months added. Others say that's not the case, or that if you have an alarm system the included monitoring only extends to the doorbell and not your other devices.

Can anyone confirm one way or another? I recently got a Ring Alarm system, am still in my trial period, and have not paid for Protect Plus yet. I'm hoping that if I buy this deal, it'd be like paying $100 for a year of Protect Plus (which I would have done anyway) for all my Ring devices and getting a doorbell for $40. If that's how it'd work this would seem like a no-brainer.
