I've had this on my watch list for a while and it just dropped 33% to $59.99, which is the lowest price ever according to 3C. This highly rated gun safe is excellent for under desks, bedroom dressers, nightstands or bed posts.

Walmart also reduced the price to $60.

Read reviews. This thing seems to eat up batteries every few weeks

is there anything that is mechanical lock, possibly pushbutton, that would work as well?

I've had one for about 4 months and still on the same set of batteries. I open and close it on average 2 times per day.

I have had mine for well over a year and I have never had to change my batteries. I would say I open it 12-15 times a week

Bought during last years prime day for $99(?) It works but I returned it the accuracy of the FP sensor, time to open, and noise make it less than ideal. Also its fairly large, which IMO is a con as it will be a rather obvious gun safe that isnt secure enough to prevent being pried open. Plus electronics and batteries always make it concerning that it might not open when you actually need it too. Its not a bad product, and at $60 its probably a good deal, but for me it wasnt what I needed or wanted.

I'm not TC as the price is good, but some of the reviews for this are not good for something as important as a quick access gun safe.

my buddy has had one for a year. No issues. Just change battery early twice a year to be safe. It fits a 1911 perfect
