Sounds like junk: read the many critical reviews.

Reviews for this type of thing are filled with pebcak.

For instance the "raw drive partitions" could have been created on an obsolete dock that created proprietary partitions because that's how many did it during the transition past 2TB drive addressing.
Or they were high rpm drives pulling too much power for a single dock.

The guy who couldn't clone probably had drives that were different sizes, and was too dim to just install macrium reflect or whatever free software is out there, and instead spent a week scratching their head only to complain in a review like a moron.

Basically every critical review is someone who didnt' rtfm, or someone that doesn't have a clue at all. "why doesn't the clone button work while plugged into a pc" to prevent accidents you dummy.

Bought this less than two weeks ago when it was 20.99. I copied ten hard drives without a pc. Worked like a charm. Well worth it.
