Want to send this to a school local to me, or I wonder if there's a list of school that needs supplies and can accept Amazon items. I'll google around but if anyone has any insights please let me know!

There's a huge Support-a-teacher movement right now where teachers are building Amazon wishlists of items they need. Search Facebook for "Support a teacher- <whatever state you're in>" and search for someone in your district. If you happen to be in Texas, I'll send you my wishlist lol(8th grade science).
