Rtings rating of 8.0 which is pretty good.

The Vizio V Series 2019 is a very good TV for use as a PC monitor. It has a low input lag and can display most common resolutions with proper chroma 4:4:4. The response time is fast, but you will notice a small blur trail when you move the mouse. If you sit up close, you might notice some subpixel dithering and some uniformity issues at the sides. The TV is free from temporary image retention or permanent burn-in thanks to its VA panel.

Just picked one up from the local costco. Using it as a big monitor. It's definitely a big monitor. Looks good to me. The startup procedure was a little annoying. The only change to make it act like a monitor was to go to menu->input setting->HDMI3 and set Full Chroma 4:4:4 to on.

He the discussion about it from a few months ago:

This is the right size for a computer monitor. I had a 43" and it was too big; I constantly craned my neck, despite it being only slightly larger. 40" is a sweet spot where you get a TON or real estate and it's not super awkward if you mount it correctly.

I have been using a 4k Vizio M from a couple years ago and it's been very good, for the most part. It's still going strong, despite two separate power surges that killed my dishwasher and oven. I added LED backlights to reduce eyestrain, which helped. You will need to read forms and make a lot of settings tweaks to get it just right.

A solid computer monitor at the price, regardless. See the above-mentioned Slickdeals thread and rtings.com reviews for some additional info that will help your buying decision.

Eww Chromecast, hard pass. IMO the worst Smart TV implementation on the market presently. Fire and Roku blow this away.
No reason to choose a different TV if you are interested. Can get a fire stick cheap if you wait on a sale. $20

Bought from Sam's for the same one day sale price. Works good for a comout monitor. Make sure your HDMI port is HDMI 2.0 and supports 4k @ 60hz or it'll default to 30hz and move like crap. I had to get a mini display port to HDMI adapter to resolve that.

for the person that prefers fire TV... fire OS is the absolutely worst. Chromecast is super simple and easy.

Picked one of these up over the weekend. Been back and forth looking for a 40" to fit in a cabinet in a bedroom. Near as I can tell, this one handily wins against any of the other Costco 40" models for picture quality. Directly compared to the Element 40" 4k also at Costco.

I will say that I slightly prefer Roku, but the software on this one seems to work ok. Should I ever need to, I can always add a Roku later.

I was thinking of going triple monitor by adding two of these and mounting them portrait on either side of my existing 55in. For computer use. Any comments?

different stroke for diff folks, chromecast is the best since sliced bread for us.. I have 2 chromecasts on 1 TV setup (movie and sound processed for karaoke), 3 chromecasts on 3 other TVs.

quickly cast anything from your phone is awesome. Roku was so bad i gave it away few years back. creating accounts just to use the device is just silly. interface was clunky, i hope they have improved it by now. remote control is so 1990s. everything is on my phone, my LG has IR blaster that replaces all other remotes for basic function.

so i see what you are saying but hold your horses...

Sure all that works great, unless you have an iPhone, then it's a whole 'nother story (inconvenient truth there). I still say Fire and Roku blow Chromecast out of the water, I don't like having to use my phone to control my TV (I have other things I do on my phone and when I'm watching TV I'd rather not be near my phone!) Roku is great for the Mom/Dad/Grandparents crowd as it's very easy to use, Fire is great for the techies to load up Kodi on it, and neither of those requires me to ALSO have to be tethered to my damn phone to operate them.
