Along with our phones most of us have several echos and echo dots or will have them soon enough with the way they give them away.

Adding chimes will drive me crazy

Are there any codes that can subtract the shipping from my purchase?

Store pickup not available (at least not for me). Shipping adds $9.99 unless you add more items to your cart to qualify for free shipping. Buying three of these qualified me for free shipping...

Won't an echo dot do the same thing and be much more useful for other things as well??

You can go to the Alexa app then select the camera. After you you do that you will see the option to notify for doorbell press / motion alerts.

Can you do that with a Google home mini?
