Just speculating but to get to the price OP posted, you need the coupon code and 10% off coupon (ymmv)
Not all accounts will have the 10% off coupon

Seems like a great price compared to what these used to go for, but nowadays I've seen a lot more of the small, bluetooth scanners that attach to your phone or laptop and run $10-20. I think many of the bluetooth ones allow you yo continuously monitor on your phone while driving. Does anyone know more about how these styles compared?

You'll need to be careful about having an OBDII scanner plugged in during all times of vehicle operation. Those devices have been known to throw out random error codes, which your vehicle is not producing on its own, and can cause issues if they do. ODBII is meant to specifically check when error codes pop up and to check in on vehicle stats, not be a constant stream of info (as great as that would be).

Thanks, got one.
I already have one of those blue-tooth OBD2 devices that connects to your phone. But I felt it is a bit of hassle to use, and wanted to get a dedicated scanner. Based on the reviews, this seems to be pretty good.
