Target has the Vitamix A2300 Ascent Series Blender on sale for $300, Red Card users save an additional 5%
Only the black color is on sale.
With the Red Card discount, the price just about matches Amazon's Prime day price of the Vitamix 5200, and this is model is newer and has a 10 year warranty.

Is this better than Blendtec since Blendtec has ONE year warranty now.

I think it is, it has a pulse feature, timer function, and its compatible with the app that lets you use pre programmed settings without paying more for models with the preset buttons. It also has a longer warranty, 10 year vs 7. Additionally, it has a shorter container, same volume.
I'm returning the 5200 and getting this one

They don't make them like they used to
I had the 5200 for 6 years, used it daily no problem. I got this 2300 from Costco one month ago, and this morning the top of the motor, the part that would attach to the blade, cracked in half. It revealed that it's mostly plastic inside. Seriously? I don't know how the 5200 is made but I don't think it's this much plastic or it wouldn't have lasted me 6 years. Vitamix is going downhill fast

I don't have it yet, but the reviews say that it can be set to shut off automatically with the digital timer

Idk as I'd really care too much about this review. I think a 10 year warranty vs a 5 or 7 comparatively says an awful lot about the expected durability of these units. I'm going to buy now, read up on it and return if I find anything that indicates that this is an actual issue.

It might not be compatible with the app after all, the wireless connection seems to be referring to the Auto detect feature, which can detect the container

Thanks OP, just bought one to replace my super old Oster blender. Wasn't cutting it anymore.
