KEF Porsche Design SPACEONE Bluetooth Headphones with ANC - Newegg Flash $149.99

Newegg Flash currently has these headphones on sale for $149.99, shipped. These might be a decent alternative for people who don't want to spend the $225+ on the Sony WH-1000XM3 phones. According to the Camel, lowest price on Amazon was $180.

Here's a review [techradar.com]; their biggest complaint appears to be the price ($400 MSRP). I suspect at this price it would be more favorable.

Update: as of 8/6/19, they're available in open box for $100 [newegg.com] (thanks @FrothyBits for the heads up) NLA

Update: open box out of stock as of 8/7/19

I tried these last time newegg had them for $150. I didn't like them at all. Bulky, heavy and very little bass. I personally wouldn't recommend them.

Did you find them to be tight around the ears? That's one of the major complaints I have with my current phones (Parrot Zik 3); I can't wear them for more than an hour or two before they start causing pain around my ears. Was tempted to try these but would like to get more feedback first; the Sony has a couple of major issues that have been noted on other SD threads (poor voice quality on other end of call, cold weather control inconsistencies).

Awesome, and today they're down to $100 (new are still at $150, though). At that price I'm going to give them a shot. Worst case, I'll lose the cost of return shipping.

Use Paypal when you order and make sure your free return shipping benefit is activated. Haven't used it in a while, but have a few times overall and it was really easy.

Not bass heavy at all but I enjoy them. The build quality is very nice also. <---- Not an audiophile

Paypal/Discover is 5% CB this quarter, too. Although probably wouldn't get any extended warranty protections like other CC do (don't know if that applies to open box or not tho).

I have a big head (like people have told me it to my face) and it was fine for me. Others have complained. The build quality is nice and looks sturdier than my friend's Sony WH3. I wore it overnight during an 8 hour flight to Europe and it was a godsend. Noise cancelling isn't the best but audio quality was good for me. A bit on the bright side but great for bluetooth. My dailies are Sennheiser HD800 and Beyerdynamic T1 so I prioritze audio vs noise cancelling.

Data Point:

About a year to a year and a half ago, these were going for $100 on Newegg brand new. Not open box. Just new. It might head down that way again. These have some issues, and I can do a small review now for people. I returned mine after about two weeks of use. Newegg gave me a full refund. I then purchased the Bose QC 35 II at a discounted price through Dell. I am still using and loving the Bose to this day.

Like another reviewer mentioned, these are heavy. However, depending on who you are, that may be a good thing. They have decent build quality. The case and presentation are on point and a touch above the rest. These are definitely presented as $400 headphones. At least mine was. The headphones themselves have decent sound, but not $400 nice. At $100 or $150, sure, not bad. However, the ANC on mine was garbage even for $150 headphones. I travel frequently and care a lot about ANC. So, that was not a positive for me.

Size is decent. I have a huge head and I did not feel discomfort while wearing these. The earcups are lavish and the top headrest is also padded nicely. Like I said before, they have surprisingly good build quality. I don't know if they ever sold at $400, but at $100 to $150, you could do a lot worse in the build quality department. For me, however, what knocked it down was average sound quality, poor personalization of sound, and bad ANC.

So, if you don't care about my issues, then these are probably a good deal.

Hope that helps anyone.

If I remember correctly, these are also battery powered? So, that docks some points off for me as well. The Bose and Sony are charged through USB.
That's incorrect, they have built-in LiON batteries, just like all other modern bluetooth headphones, and charge via USB. But I otherwise appreciate your review.
