My wife just bought a refurbished 80D from Canon a couple of weeks ago. I think it was the same price. This is our third refurb from Canon and they've all looked and performed like new. Good deal OP.

I read here on SD that the 80D was substantially lower in price a few weeks ago.

Edit: Sorry, it was a post on Dpr that someone said there was a additional 10% off coupon they received bringing the price to $629. with the 2 lenses. https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/62917875

I agree. I have bought 3-4 of the refurb DSLR's going back to the Rebel XT/XS and then the T2i and then T51 days and a refurb SX50, and a S110 all refurbs and all arrived in as new condition. Love the full 1 year warranty vs Nikon at 90 days.

I purchased a T7i refurb from Canon about a month ago and it was MINT! It only had 14 shutter clicks on it!

I bought one when this was posted a few weeks ago. Mine was at four thousand. I've heard of people getting as low as 40 or as high as 20k. There's a program that I can't remember the name of that'll tell you. Fwiw mine looked brand new, the strap was definitely new, and the lenses seemed brand new as well. Highly recommend.

Edit: it's called eosmsg for anyone who doesn't know. Seems super sketch when you go to pay, but it worked automatically for me.

The 55-250 is much better than ok..more like excellent. I used the previous version when a Canon shooter but the latest release is even better. Very good walk around, travel, or family use lens.

This is a very good DSLR camera and has excellent focus on video recording event thought the max resolution is only 1080p. If you start out fresh in the DSLR market then this is a great choice. I went with the Nikon D7500 Body Only recently for $600 because I had a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8. I am very happy with the photo performance with the combo. However, the Nikon video auto focus is just terrible. It's almost useless if you record lots of actions. I thought about the Sony A6500/A6400 but I would have to spend at least $1400+ to get the body and good lens. Photo was my priority so I stick with the Nikon D7500.
