Same price from CPO via eBay if you've got bucks:

And same price from Home Depot as well:

New poster here- this seems like a reasonable deal to me but I'm not certain. From what I can tell it's the v2 blower, and includes a 12.0 AH battery and charger. I think I've seen the chainsaw kit for around $300 in the past, and the blower at $100, so maybe a "warm" deal but neither of those are happening right now (AFAIK) so if you need the blower or saw it seems reasonably solid.

Normal price is $399 for the chainsaw kit and $164 for the blower by itself ($563).

This is a recent deal from Milwaukee, offered by most retailers. Definitely a decent deal, but very good with the 10% back on eBay app. Do I need a chainsaw if I have no trees? Of course, obviously.

I wouldn't have expected it, but the blower is one of the more frequently used Milwaukee tools in my arsenal for cleaning up my shop and work-area, along with the M18 shop vac. Dust collection with battery powered tools is usually not a thing, so having a blower that can relocate sawdust and debris out of your work area quickly is really handy.

It's not as good as a dedicated gas powered backpack blower for yardwork, but if you are invested in the Milwaukee line this is a nice pickup.

I noticed the weed whip is also on sale with the rapid charger and 9ah battery for $229 - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../300272796

I really recommend this chainsaw if you want to do BIG work. I mean maybe not YUUGE, but pretty big, 10-14" trunks, etc. If you just want to prune branches and little stuff <6" this is way-overkill. I have some of the smaller saws I'd recommend, but had a larger tree to cut down and since I already had M18 stuff, I decided to get this saw. I bought as bare tool since I already had 5AH and 9AH batteries. If you buy the kit, it does come with the 12, which is nice, though it adds a bit more weight of course. Actually it worked fine for me with a 5AH battery but obviously needed to swap batteries more as it will drain that one pretty quickly.

This is a totally different class from the budget electric chainsaws, though as I said those are probably better for smaller work when you don't need the heft and power of this powerful beast. One thing they mention in the ads, which I can say is true, is that it will get you full speed in <1 second or so. (not sure of actual claim they make). Other electrics I have, you squeeze trigger and have to give it a few seconds to go whirr, Whiirrr, WHIIIRrr. WHIIIIR! and finally you are up to speed. Similarly this thing really doesn't bog down much even in a big cut, where weaker electrics you start to end up taxing the motor and battery system and they slow down. (I can't even imagine what a BEAST thing thing would be with the 12AH battery -- the only battery I don't have yet.)

No more smelly loud 2-strokes for me, that's for sure! I used to have to grab hearing protectors, a face mask to filter out the blue smoke of unburned gas and oil. Now no more of that for me! (obviously still recommend good safety gear like eye protection, gloves, hard-hat if you're doing overhead tree work).

Has anyone seen in store at Home Depot? If so what is the return value on the blower?

Have not seen this in stores. Return value would be around $70 my guess

Since you have this, could you comment about how hot the battery gets when going at full discharge for a few minutes? I have the blowers, weed whacker, and some of the bigger I believe 8 amp hour batteries. But those 8 amp batteries get tremendously hot when going full steam on the weed wacker. they actually got hot enough and used that I stopped thinking that it would blow the control board inside the battery. The entire battery was so hot on the outside of the plastic that I couldn't imagine how hot the actual control board or battery is actually were to make it feel that hot on the outside.
With a 12 ampere hour battery I'm worried that it would degrade the longevity with all that heat cycling.

I'd be all over this if I didn't buy the Husqvarna battery chainsaw/trimmer/blower/hedge trimmer when Lowe's was closing them out about a year ago. The batteries in those units are terrible, I've had about 60% failure rate with them. The tools are great but ruined by the batteries. I have Milwaukee tools at home but can't justify the expense for the lawn tools.

The cpo deal was just the chainsaw without the blower

Could you do something like this [youtube.com]? Same concept, just a higher volt battery and sacrificing a tool.

Can I use M12 and other batteries in these tools as well, or is it only M18 tools for M18 batteries?
