you're pretty lucky that it hasn't shipped. I bought one new from microcenter only to find out they screwed up the power port and it will be fixed in a future revision. Too bad by the time I found out it was past the return period.

I just bought this a week ago for $9. It seems nice for an inexpensive fan case. I have not had much chance to push it to check on the cooling. Be sure to put the fan label side down if you want downward air flow. I installed it upside down, but only took 2 minutes to fix.

I placed an order for a pi 4 less than an hour after launch and if I'm lucky, I might have it by this time next year. I would consider purchasing this but who knows when/if I'll actually need it.

Does the pi 4 really need a fan? I've used 2 and 3 and just slapped heatsinks on the chips.

Yes, I would definitely recommend it. The first release had such bad thermal throttling that it performed worse than the Pi 3. There have been some modifications to the throttling profile, but I still recommend having a fan for the Pi 4.

Me too. Mine was canceled eventually. I'm happy it was. I'll just buy off amazon when I'm ready and when retropie is stable and ready.

Just got my bit torrent/file server pi 4 running last night. I have a Flirc on order. I would imagine the Flirc is good for the type of usage I'm putting it to, but an active solution may be better for an emulator/work station.

Great case, bought two of them recently, no complaints. Keeps them running nice and cool. Overclocked one of my Pis using this case to 2 GHz without issue.
