Just picked this exact kit up for 42 bucks during the bb sale. Lights come pre connected however I'm having a problem hooking up a front porch light. Other 3 work fine.

Never used Hue so can't speak to that specifically but I have about 20 of these Sengled bulbs throughout house and they are great. Have used for 2 years without a single failure. Very reliable. Dim well which is hugely useful - very nice to dim the lights when watching TV, reading in bed, etc. And to do it all with voice. Nice to control lights with voice - my kids always forgot to turn off their bedroom light and now I can turn it off without even getting off the couch. Or if carrying laundry basket into bedroom and fearing tripping on ground clutter you can just ask Alexa to turn on light rather than having to set down the basket to flip the light switch. Any Echo device in the house will control any Sengled bulb in the house (or can even use the Alexa app from afar). Easy to connect. Work with both Echo and Google Home. Note these are only white but in all reality that is what houses typically use daily. These are silent - no bulb hum nor do they "click" when turned on. Light switches will still work but we never use them (just leave all switches in ON position and let Echo control bulb on/off - but if Echo service is down such as with internet outage, these bulbs will operate just like a normal incandescent light bulb with the light switch). Can set up unlimited groups of bulbs ("Alexa turn on all bedrooms lights." "Alexa turn on all family room lights." etc.) Can set up routines (similar to using a timer for a lamp while on vacation). Can combine lighting with alarms (when my teenagers' 2nd wake alarm goes off on their Echo their light also comes on dimly). I can walk in house and say "Alexa I'm home" and a certain pattern of lights will turn on. The possibilities seem endless.
These have changed our lives. Thought they were a fun "toy" when first got some but quickly realized how useful they were. Entire family appreciates them. Realize this all the more when we travel and don't have Alexa controlled lighting.
