What I love about these monitors is the aspect ratio of movies. 2:35:1 since it's perfect size and some youtube videos with the youtube auto aspect ratio extension. It's a must to have one of these monitors.

Yes coming from someone who was using a Sharp aquous 32" for 7 yrs and decided to up to 1440p and this as a second monitor. Any higher in height it wouldn't be worth it, but LG made it just right horizontally.

If anything 1440P would be better if you do a lot more gaming.

Yup, but think anything over 34" (27" in normal ratio) would need 1440p or more.

Nice price. Only thing holding me back from upgrading my 29" UW is only one HDMI port on this model (need two for work). Costco has the 61 model with two HDMI ports for $250, but it seems like its the only difference.

if you're ok with a 27'' 16:9 1080p monitor, sure...
personally, i wouldn't touch a 27'' 16:9 that wasn't 2560x1440.

Kinda regret buying this. My pc don't have a DisplayPort. The converters to make it work cost $35. Should have got Costco one with 2 hdmi
