OP, you ought to put the original $699 price in the title too so that folks see how much it is being discounted by. Limited reviews I can find make this seem like a great deal. TU.

Most households I know use Amazon Alexa or Google Chromecast for whole house music. This product has neither. Who uses DTS PlayFi???

Isn't that what Polk wireless systems use?

DTS PlayFi supports 24bit/192kHz music across your wi-fi network. All the top brands use DTS PlayFi including Martin Logan, Paradigm, Sonus faber, Thiel, SVS, Anthem, McIntosh, Integra, ect. If you want the best in wireless sound, then you will want DTS PlayFi.

No Bluetooth seems like a really dumb omission in a wireless speaker....

Here is a pretty glowing review, though credit to vid1900, they do call out the lack of bluetooth as a negative - https://hometheaterreview.com/mar...-reviewed/

I don't know about this specific device, but in general, beware of "works with Alexa" speakers. At least all the ones I've tried will not allow you to play Spotify music through Alexa.
(As in, if you tell your echo "Alexa, shuffly my Spotify in Bravado Speaker", Alexa will respond "Can't play from spotify in that device".

For what these cost new (or on sale), I want them to look better than they do.

That is the correct answer. There is also a sub-set of Slick Dealers that bought in on Klipsch PowerGate amps and use it... not naming any names Big Grin

Accurate. Apparently from my research, you used to be able to and Amazon disabled that skill. Likely to promote their own music app/ecosystem.
